Temple Baptist Church in Cullman, AL initially sought to replace their aging projectors with newer, brighter units to overcome light bleed from their stage front-wash. After consultation and weighing out different options, the church opted to go with a direct-view LED display that not only was about 3 times brighter for the same cost, but was also significantly larger, covering the entire wall, reducing the overall energy use, and providing more flexibility for the large church’s many productions and events.
With a new display format and the desire to better connect with their congregation both in-person and at a distance, they called on us to design a highly flexible, software-driven switching and routing solution. The Ross Carbonite’s friendliness, flexibility and powerful routing, keying, and processing abilities, coupled with a 12G router gave them room to grow, provided fresh inspiration for their all-volunteer broadcast video team, and paved the way for their future upgrade to campus-wide 4k video.
